Health Care Providers & Skilled Home Care Services in Minnesota

Regency Home HealthCare provides skilled home health care providers — registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, home health aides, and homemakers — for children, adults, and medically complex individuals throughout Minnesota and portions of Wisconsin.

You want to stay home. Most people do: 75% of adults over 50 want to remain in their homes as they age, according to AARP’s 2024 Home and Community Preferences Survey. Our job is to make that possible — safely, and with dignity.

Every staff member passes a thorough background check, including criminal history, before working with clients. We are Medicare and Medicaid certified, and we specialize in the care of ventilator-dependent clients — one of the most demanding areas of home care.

Whether you need short-term recovery support, 24-hour skilled nursing (link to Extended Hour Home Care page), or a hand with daily tasks, your care starts with a plan built around you — not a one-size-fits-all schedule.

Registered Nurse (RN)

Your RN is the quarterback of your care. They coordinate every service you receive and keep your physician in the loop, including:

  • Comprehensive nursing assessments
  • Care plan development
  • Medication management
  • Symptom monitoring
  • Ventilator & tracheostomy care
  • Family education
  • Pediatric & adult skilled nursing
  • Long-term complex care management and supervision of all services

Our nurses work directly with physicians, hospitals, case managers, and families — so nothing falls through the cracks between hospital and home.

Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN)

Our LPNs deliver hands-on nursing care under RN and physician direction — they’re the frontline support you’ll see most often. Services include:

  • Medication and treatment administration
  • Tube feeding assistance
  • Respiratory support services
  • Daily health and symptom monitoring
  • Care for clients unable to direct their own aide
  • Specialized pediatric nursing care
  • Client and family support

Regency specializes in medically fragile and ventilator-dependent clients — our LPNs are trained for complex care, not just routine visits.

Respiratory Therapy Services

Our licensed respiratory therapists care for clients with acute and chronic pulmonary conditions at home — including full ventilator management, which few Minnesota home care agencies offer. Services include:

  • Ventilator management
  • Tracheostomy care
  • Oxygen therapy
  • Airway clearance therapy and bronchial drainage
  • Oximetry monitoring and pulmonary assessments
  • Asthma education
  • CPR education and caregiver training

We care for both pediatric and adult clients with complex respiratory needs in home and community-based settings (link to Respiratory Therapy Services page).

Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Support

After an illness, injury, surgery, or hospital stay, our rehabilitation professionals help you rebuild strength and stay safely at home. Therapy may focus on:

  • Mobility improvement and gait training
  • Fall prevention
  • Strength and endurance training
  • Transfer training
  • Pain reduction
  • Home safety education
  • Functional independence support

The goal is simple: help you do more of what you did before — in your own home, on your own terms.

Home Health Aides, Personal Care Assistant, and Community First Services and Support

Our Home Health Aides (HHAs) and CFSS workers provide daily living support for clients of all ages — the practical, everyday help that keeps people independent.

Services may include:

  • Meal planning and preparation
  • Medication reminders
  • Exercise program support
  • Light housekeeping
  • Mobility assistance
  • Companionship and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)

Caregivers are carefully matched to each client. If the fit isn’t right, we fix it — dependable care depends on trust.

Homemaking Services

Helping clients remain independent is the homemaker’s entire job. These services keep the household running so staying home stays realistic:

  • Housekeeping and laundry
  • Grocery shopping and errands
  • Meal planning and preparation
  • Organization assistance
  • Safety monitoring and routine household support

Homemaking also lifts a real weight off family caregivers — fewer errands for you means more actual time together.

Specialized Pediatric Home Care

Children with medical complexity make up less than 1% of the pediatric population but account for roughly one-third of pediatric healthcare spending — and research published in BMC Health Services Research shows home nursing is a critical, underused part of their care.

Regency’s pediatric nurses and caregivers work with families, physicians, and care teams to deliver that care safely at home. We support families managing:

  • Ventilator dependency and tracheostomy care
  • Feeding tubes
  • Neuromuscular disorders
  • Chronic respiratory conditions
  • Developmental disabilities
  • Long-term medical complexities

Our mission: help children thrive in the comfort of home while supporting parents every step of the way.
